Skills

Skills in Lineage 2 are categorized into active, passive, and toggle skills, and are specific to classes and races. Players acquire and enhance skills through leveling or spellbooks.

Active skills require a player to manually use them in combat or gameplay. These skills typically consume MP (Mana Points) and may have cooldown times. Examples include:

• Attack Skills – Deliver powerful strikes or ranged attacks.
• Magic Skills – Include elemental magic, buffs, and debuffs.
• Healing Skills – Restore HP/CP or remove negative effects.
• Summoning Skills – Allow summoners to call forth creatures or spirits for assistance.
• Transformation Skills - Allow player to transform to specific creature

Passive skills are always in effect without requiring activation. They provide bonuses to stats, resistance, or abilities.

• Weapon or Armor Mastery Skills – Increases attack or defense power when using certain items
• Resistance Skills – Boosts resistance against specific type of attacks
• Clan/Hero/Mentorship Skills - Increase stats in specific scenario

Toggle skills are unique abilities that remain active until turned off. They often drain MP continuously while in use.
